Paper Crafts

Beautiful paper air vases designed by Torafu Architects in Japan.

They're made of thin, lightweight paper that is surprisingly flexible.  They come flatpacked and you shape it yourself.  See the video. [Which by the way makes me feel like someone cracked an egg over my head and the goo is running down the back of my neck, in a good way].

via Upon a Fold which is a fantastic site for those of us paper-obsessed.  Also featured is this amazing little pop-up book by Kyle Bean.  A little dark and deviously sweet, like a less macabre Edward Gorey.  See the pages in motion here.
