One review for Warpaint's Exquisite Corpse:
L.A.'s Warpaint make this kind of–and pardon my use of this word for a second–transcendental folk music that wraps you up like a mummy and carries you up a mountain to be buried....The record is sprawling and gorgeous and totally the kind of shit I would play if I lived in a treehouse in the woods and was trying to communicate with the birds outside my window. It also (obviously) sounds beautiful without doing that.
I'm so excited about this album: it's haunting and spooky. I'm even more excited to melt into a viscous pool at their show tomorrow.
