I've been meaning to post this artist for awhile; he's been languishing in my "Do something with this later" folder. Now is the time, it seems, for an artist like David Spriggs, to come along with his youth and glitz. I get that there's nothing really new in art or anywhere really and new perspectives can yield interesting results, I guess. Still, I think veteran Xia Xiaowan [below] trumps Spriggs any day with his wannabe Rothko or Robert Smithson directive.
